Rev. Joshua L.K. Ntony
Associate Minister
Rev. Joshua Leninsor Keni Ntony is an ordained minister of the Gospel whose journey to the pulpit is as remarkable for its depth of preparation as it is for its breadth of service. Born on 13th October 1981 in Likpe-Agbozome in the Oti Region of Ghana, Rev. Ntony has built a life that beautifully weaves together the worlds of Christian ministry, financial expertise, and community leadership. His story is one of a man who answered the call of God while never retreating from full engagement with the world around him.
Roots in the Church
Rev. Ntony’s relationship with the Church began not at ordination, but in the trenches of voluntary service long before his formal commissioning. He was a foundational member of the El-Shaddai Congregation in Tesa-Adjiringanor, where he gave himself wholeheartedly to the work of God across more than two decades. From the inaugural days of that congregation in 1999 — when he served as Secretary of the Church Inaugural Committee — to the years that followed, he consistently stepped forward wherever he was needed. He taught and led the Children’s Service from 1999 to 2012, nurturing the faith of a generation of young believers with patience and dedication. He went on to serve as President of the Young People’s Guild (YPG) from 2010 to 2014, and later as President of the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) from 2016 to 2019 — roles through which he shaped the spiritual lives and vocational identities of countless young people within the congregation. His service extended further still. He coordinated the Media Team from 2018 to 2020 and led the Committee on Mission and Evangelism from 2014 to 2020, demonstrating a passion for reaching beyond the walls of the Church. He also served as a member of the Committee on Ecumenical and Social Relations (2016-2018), the Session (2017-2020), and the 30th Anniversary Planning Committee in 2023 — a cumulative record of service that speaks to a life poured out in quiet, faithful devotion.
Commissioning and Ministerial Appointment
On 27th July 2024, Rev. Ntony was formally commissioned into the ministry of the Gospel — a milestone that marked the culmination of years of theological formation, practical service, and spiritual discernment. Following his commissioning, he was posted as Associate Minister to the Grace Congregation in West Legon in September 2024, where he now serves under the oversight of the congregation’s leadership. His commissioning came after the completion of his Licentiate-in-Ministry at the Ramseyer Training Centre in Abetifi-Kwahu in 2024 — a programme that formally prepared him for ordained ministry. This appointment to the Grace Congregation, West Legon, represents both a new chapter and a natural continuation of a vocation that has been unfolding quietly for over two decades.
Education and Academic Formation
Rev. Ntony is among the most academically credentialed ministers of his generation, holding qualifications that span both the sacred and the secular. After completing his WASSCE at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School in Cantoments, Accra in 2001, he pursued a Higher National Diploma in Marketing at Accra Polytechnic (now Accra Technical University) in 2006, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in 2012. Driven by a dual calling to both the Church and the marketplace, he went on to earn a Master of Arts in Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS) in 2020, deepening his theological grounding and biblical scholarship. In parallel, he completed an MBA in Strategic Management and Business Consulting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2021 — a qualification that has equipped him to engage leadership, governance, and institutional development at the highest level.
Professional Career
Parallel to his ministerial journey, Rev. Ntony has forged a distinguished career in Ghana’s financial services sector. His professional trajectory reflects a consistent rise in responsibility and expertise. He began in business relationship and credit management at Adehyeman Savings & Loans Ltd (2012-2013), before moving to Vodafone Ghana (now Telecel) as a Credit and Collections Analyst in 2014.
He joined the National Investment Bank Ltd in 2016 as a Credit Risk Analyst, and within a year was elevated to the role of Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT&P) Lead Officer — a position he has held since January 2017. In this role, he bears significant responsibility for the integrity and compliance of one of Ghana’s major financial institutions, working at the intersection of law, finance, and institutional ethics.
Family and Personal Life
Rev. Ntony is married to Major Mrs. Ntony, a commissioned officer of the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Corps. Their union is a partnership of two individuals committed to serving Ghana and its people — one through the Church, the other through the nation’s defence and healthcare. They are blessed with a daughter, Estherlyn Afiba Ntony, in whom the hopes and prayers of a faithful home find joyful expression.
Rev. Joshua Leninsor Keni Ntony stands at a remarkable intersection of calling and competence. His life is a testament to the truth that faithful service in the small things is the surest preparation for greater responsibility — and that the Church is enriched when its ministers bring the fullness of their gifts, experiences, and character to its mission.
