Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi

Minister in Charge

Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi is a distinguished minister, theologian, and educator whose life and vocation reflect a profound commitment to the Gospel, the Church, and the development of Christian thought in Ghana and beyond. With over two decades of faithful ministerial service, he has built a reputation as a gifted preacher, a dedicated pastor, and a rigorous academic — a rare combination that has earned him respect across the ecclesiastical and scholarly communities.

Pastoral Ministry

Rev. Dr. Kissi currently serves as the Minister-in-Charge of the Grace Congregation in West Legon, where his pastoral leadership continues to shape and inspire the congregation. Over the course of his more than twenty years in ministry, he has served faithfully across several congregations within the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, demonstrating a consistent calling to shepherd God’s people with integrity and vision. A testament to his leadership and the trust of his peers, Rev. Dr. Kissi served as the immediate past Chairperson of the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery — a role that placed him at the helm of one of the Church’s key regional bodies. His tenure was marked by a steady commitment to institutional growth and pastoral excellence.

Academic and Teaching Ministry

In addition to his pastoral work, Rev. Dr. Kissi is a trained teacher whose academic contributions have enriched theological education in Ghana. He serves as a lecturer in Biblical Greek and New Testament Studies at the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, one of Ghana’s most respected institutions for ministerial formation. His teaching in the original languages of Scripture equips future ministers with the tools to engage the Bible with depth and precision. He also serves as a lecturer for the Special Ministerial Training (SMT) programme of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, a role through which he mentors and equips clergy across various stages of their ministerial development. His dual appointment in both seminary education and continuing ministerial training reflects the breadth of his theological expertise.

Church Leadership and Governance

Rev. Dr. Kissi’s influence extends well beyond the pulpit and the lecture hall. He has served in various capacities on numerous boards and committees of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, contributing his expertise to the governance and strategic direction of the denomination. He currently serves on the boards of both the Presbyterian University Council and PCG-TV, bringing his pastoral and scholarly perspective to the intersection of education and media in the Church’s mission.

Family and Personal Life

Rev. Dr. Kissi is married to Mrs. Mavis Kissi, his beloved partner in life and ministry. Together, they have been blessed with four biological children and nine non-biological children — a reflection of the generous and expansive love that defines their home and their calling. His family life is a living embodiment of the values he preaches: faith, generosity, and an open heart.

Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi stands as a pillar of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana — a man whose ordered life in ministry, scholarship, and family bears witness to the grace he so faithfully proclaims.
